A ski that blends piste performance with powder prowess, the Stockli Stormrider 95 is back yet again for another season, but this time it comes with a few tweaks that make it a more effective ski overall. From a construction standpoint, not all that much has changed in terms of the way these skis are built. A light wood core along with two sheets of Titanal laid overtop provide the signature smooth feel we all know and love from Stockli. By printing the graphic right into the top sheet of metal, there is a fairly significant weight savings as a result, and needless to say, it makes the skis look pretty darn cool. Stockli redesigned the tip shape of the entire Stormrider line with the intention of providing better float and better edge hold. The new Freeride Tip design is lighter and more stable and it improves float for a more effortless experience in softer snow. Other than that, we see everything that made the Stormrider 95 such a widely loved ski prior to the new design. Tip and tail rocker provide plenty of maneuverability for all-mountain skiing, while the camber underfoot ensure that you can hold a solid edge on the firm stuff. This would be a fantastic daily driver for skiers who ski a mixed bag of terrain on a daily basis as it really does provide great versatility. While it might not have quite the float of it’s wider relative, the Stormrider 102, it can certainly handle a substantial amount of soft snow, no question. Ski it all with the Stockli Stormrider 95.
